Specializing in melds—combinations of seven or more cards of the same rank—canasta is a variant on Rummy that is played with two decks of cards. Another well-a23 rummyliked Rummy variant is called Kalooki, and it uses wild cards—which can be any card in the deck—to replace other cards. Players can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the game and be able to create strategies that work for multiple versions of the game by becoming proficient in the various Rummy variations.
