Share on Twitter Share on Facebook 4 min readIf you’re in town for the PokerStars NAPT Las Vegas and are in a generous mood, you might want to be aware of a pair of upcoming Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) events.
The first charity event will take place this Saturday and involves a Super Bowl Champion – linebacker and Las Vegas native Brandon Marshall, who enjoyed an eight-year NFL career and won Super Bowl 50 as a part of the Denver Broncos.
The other event will take place a week later, and actually, there is a third CSOP event, albeit on the other side of the country in North Carolina. Read about them all below.
At 6 p.m. PT on Saturday, Nov. 2 the CSOP “All In For Impact” will take place to benefit the Williams-Marshall Cares Leadership Program. The $250 buy-in event will take place at Hattie Marie’s Texas BBQ – a new restaurant venue on S. Las Vegas Blvd that brings a Southern flair of BBQ – and players will compete for a $5,000 cash prize pool plus more than $9,000 in donated prizes.
Hattie Marie's Texas BBQ is a new restaurant venue in Vegas that's excited not only to bring a Southern flair of BBQ to town but to help support local nonprofits like the Williams-Marshall Care Leadership Program.
The buy-in includes your initial chip stack along with two drink tickets and appetizers. The tournament will begin at 7:30 p.m. local time and there are some heavy hitters slated to be in attendance including Super Bowl Champion Brandon Marshall, former NFL player Hayes Pullard, Actor Peter Mackenzie, actress Katie Morgan, UFC fighters Antonio Trocoli and Mackenzie Dern, Jay Wasley of Ghost Adventures, and tattoo legend Joey Hamilton.
"This poker tournament is an exciting opportunity to come together with our community in support of youth leadership,” said Brandon Marshall, Executive Director of Williams-Marshall Cares and owner of Hattie Marie's Texas BBQ. “This event isn’t just about a great night of poker – it's about raising funds and awareness for our mission to equip young people with the skills and values they need to thrive as future leaders. At Hattie Marie's, we’re proud to play a part in making a difference here in Las Vegas."
Similarly, poker personalities Matt Savage, Joey Ingram, Mike Matusow, and Matt Stout should all be in the house. For those who wish to attend but not play, they can do so for just $100, which will allow for access to appetizers, cocktails, a silent auction, and a 50/50 cash raffle.
All net proceeds from the events will benefit Williams-Marshall Cares Leadership Program. The Williams-Marshall Cares Leadership Program envisions a future where youth are empowered to unleash their potential, and equipped with the skills and inspiration to become positive role models and community leaders. Their mission is to inspire and prepare youth athletes and future leaders for a lifelong commitment to service, integrity, and community leadership.
On Sunday, Nov. 10 the CSOP Event #75: “Chip In for Autism” will take place at the WorldView at World Market Center in Las Vegas. A silent auction and cocktail hour will take place starting at 4:30 p.m. PT followed by a $300 buy-in charity poker tournament at 6 p.m. There is over $5,000 in cash and $9,000 in donated prizes up for grabs.
The event will support Families for Effective Autism Treatment, Inc. (FEAT) and Sunshine Nevada Camps. Both organizations are dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young adults with autism.
Sunshine Nevada offers free summer camps—Camp I Am, Camp TLC, and Camp Shine—for ages 6-25, creating joyful experiences filled with singing, dancing, and social connections for over 20 years. FEAT, established in 1994, empowers families by advocating for early diagnosis and appropriate services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Southern Nevada.
Together, these organizations work towards a brighter, more inclusive future for individuals with autism and their families.
Also taking place on Sunday, Nov. 10 is CSOP Event #74: “Poker for Patriots” at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The $300 buy-in tournament will support the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) and the V Foundation! Both organizations enhance lives through community and support: the VGA fosters camaraderie among veterans and their families by hosting over 1,500 tournaments for its 20,000 members, while the V Foundation has awarded over $353 million in cancer research grants, ensuring 100% of donations go directly to top scientists.
Players will enjoy an open bar and gala dinner! Followed by an exciting turbo Texas Hold’em poker tournament for great prizes including a $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat, alongside a silent auction supporting VGA & V Foundation!
