For the past two Monday nights, Hellmuth’s Home Gamepresented by Poker Night in America (PNIA) and sponsored by BetRivers has aired on CBS Sports.
The nationally-televised show, which was filmed at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada and airs weekly at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT until the end of 2025, is unique in that there is no commentary. Instead, the show is carried by table talk from Phil Hellmuth alongside a cast of fellow pros and friends in an intimate, relaxed cash game setting.
PokerNewswatched the latest episode, which were the third and fourth of the season respectively, and compiled a recap of some of the biggest hands and interesting storylines.

The game was played with $25/$50 blinds with a $50 big blind ante. Here’s a look at some of the biggest hands from the first episode.
Xuan Flips a Coin
In the first hand of Episode 3, Xuan Liu raised to $400 first to act holding the A♣10♣and action folded to Dan “Jungleman” Cates, who had straddled to $100. He defended with the J♦9♦and it was heads up to a flop of 10♠8♠4♦.
Cates checked his open-ended straight draw, and Xuan continued for $400. Cates woke up with a check-raise to $1,500, and Xuan pushed back to the tune of $3,700. Cates called to create a pot worth $8,325 and the 8♠paired the board on the turn.
Cates checked, Xuan did the same with top two, and the K♦completed the board on the river.
“What do you think I should do with my range here?” Cates asked his opponent. “ I can think of only one size I can bet if I have an eight. Do you know what that size is?”
Xuan indicated it would probably be an overbet and Cates agreed before moving all in. Xuan had $16,475 behind and hit the tank, debating what to do. Eventually, she opted to flip a card protector provided by DJ Washburn – the logo was a call and QR code was a fold. It came up the latter and Xuan folded her hand.
Cates immediately tabled the bluff, and Xuan shot out of her chair saying, “Oh my god!”
Hellmuth III Can Get Away from Bullets, Baby
Phillip Hellmuth III looked down at the A♠A♣under the gun and raised to $150, which Alex three-bet to $600 next to act with the K♦Q♣. 3Coin called with the 8♠5♠and action folded back the Hellmuth III, who four-bet to $1,500.
“It’s ok if I beat him in a hand, right?” Alex asked.
“Of course,” Hellmuth Jr. responded. Alex and 3Coin both called, and the flop came down Q♠J♦J♠.
Hellmuth III continued for $800, and Alex, who flopped two pair, called before 3Coin raised to $3,000 with his spade flush draw. Hellmuth III folded the aces, Alex called, and the 6♥appeared on the turn, which both players checked.
“You can’t fold there, Phil,” Hellmuth Jr. instructed his son. While it was the best hand at the time, the aces would’ve gotten cracked as the Q♦spiked on the river to fill up Alex, who bet $7,600. 3Coin missed his spade flush and folded his hand.
3Coin Picks Wrong Time to Jam
Washburn raised to $250 from the cutoff with the A♠A♦, and Alex three-bet to $700 holding the Q♥9♣on the button. 3Coin then tried to raise to $600 from the small blind with the 10♥10♦but didn’t see the raise in front of him. He was allowed to just call and Washburn four-net to $3,700.
Alex got out of the way, 3Coin called, and the flop fell 7♠8♥Q♣. 3Coin simply moved all in for $7,175, and Washburn snap-called to create a $22,650 pot.
The K♠turn was no help to 3Coin, and neither was the 5♠river.
“Nice hand,” he offered before reloading.
At the end of the third episode, DJ Washburn was the big winner, showing a profit of $42,075, with the only other winners being Jungleman (+$3,200) and Phil Hellmuth Jr. (+$425). On the other end of the spectrum, 3Coin was the big loser, down $22,450.

Here’s how things stacked up at the start of the fourth episode.

Alex raised to $400 with the A♠Q♥in the hijack, and Cates three-bet to $1,400 from the button with the Q♦9♣. Action folded back to Alex, who called, and the flop came down 9♥7♣Q♠.
Alex checked top pair, and Cates bet $1,300 with top two pair. Alex called and then checked the 10♥turn. Cates bet again, this time $3,800, and Alex called to see the 4♦river. Alex checked for the third time, and Cates thought long and hard before betting $12,000.
“Fold,” Alex said without much hesitation. The two then showed their respective hands.
“I feel offended,” Cates chirped after failing to get paid off.
Hellmuth III Felted in Final Hand
In the last hand of Episode 4, 3Coin raised to $300 from the hijack with the 4♠4♦, and Xuan made it $1,000 to go with the 9♣8♣in the cutoff. Phillip Hellmuth III came along from the big blind with the A♦K♦, Alex did the same from the straddle with the J♦9♦, and it was four ways to a flop of 4♥A♥A♠.
Hellmuth III checked his trip aces, Alex checked behind, and 3Coin bet $2,000 with his flopped full house. Xuan got out of the way, Hellmuth III just called, and Alex folded, which brought about the 6♣on the turn.
Hellmuth III checked and then snap-called off his last $2,175 after 3Coin moved all in. There was $12,425 in the pot and Hellmuth III was looking to get lucky. It didn’t happen though as the 3♠bricked on the river.
“That was unlucky, Phillip,” Hellmuth offered his son. “Unbelievable.”
At the end of Episode 4, Hellmuth III was down $10,000, but both 3Coin and Alex had lost even more, down $14,050 and $19,175, respectively. On the other end of the spectrum, Washburn was the big winner, up $41,750, while Cates was the second biggest winner with a profit of $19,600.
