The Poker Waves promotion is strikingly similar to other 888poker promotions that the online poker site has recently run, so you should have no issue following the rules and, hopefully, bagging yourself plenty of freeroll entries.
A $500 Sea Breeze Freeroll runs three times daily, and you can play in one of them by completing just one challenge each day. Complete all three challenges (more on those below) and you will be playing in $1,500 worth of freerolls each day.
Completing nine or more challenges during a calendar week will result in a ticket for the $3,000 Beach Break Freeroll landing in your 888poker account. The $3,000 freeroll shuffles up and deals every Sunday throughout the promotion.
Poker Waves Challenges
Three Poker Waves challenges can be completed per day, and you should have little to no problem completing them all:
- Win a real money cash game hand with ace-king
- Play poker tournaments, including BLAST, with buy-ins totalling $5 or more
- Place bets or wagers worth $2 or more on any casino game or sports event
Sports betting challenge must have odds of 1.5 or longer

Play in a $20,000 Big Blue Freeroll Each Month
The $20,000 Big Blue Freeroll is the biggest free tournament the Poker Waves promotion offers. Only three of these freerolls are available, running at 5:00 p.m. BST on August 16, September 13, and October 11.
In order to play in the $20,000 Big Blue Freeroll, you must complete one or more of the so-called super-swell challenges. Those challenges require you to:
- Win at least 100 hands in real money cash games
- Finish in the money in five or more tournaments (excluding BLAST)
- Eliminate 10 or more players from any PKO or Mystery Bounty tournaments
Complete any of those challenges and you'll be vying for a share of a guaranteed $20,000 for free.
If you somehow manage to play in every freeroll, you'll have competed for a share of $300,000 over the next few months and have done so by winning freeroll seats by playing the 888poker games you already love. Now that is a promotion we can get behind.
