Social media influencer King didn't know how to play poker when he sat down in Friday night's Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) Invitational VII in Las Vegas, but that didn't stop him from winning the tournament to take home $20,000, a bottle of Louis XIII cognac and the CPT champion belt. And all it took was a five-minute YouTube tutorial.
Over 50 celebrities crowded into the PokerGO Studio for the freeroll event, including pro fighters Colby Covington and Tito Ortiz, content creator Bryce Hall, and the Chrisley family — Todd, Julie, Savanah and Faye — of reality TV fame.
King, an influencer with over 1.9 million Instagram followers "who energizes and inspires others, radiating confidence, passion, and positivity," defeated ballroom dancer Alan Bersten during heads-up play after the two agreed to play the last few hands blind.
"I'm feeling so happy but I'm so shocked because I came here not knowing how to play poker," King told PokerNewsin a winner's interview. "I watched a five-minute introduction on YouTube on how to play poker. And I just followed my intuition and my knowledge that I picked up today. And I pulled it off."

The final table also included rapper 24kGoldn, UFC middleweight Paulo Costa and NFL pro John Johnson III.

The 14th CPT event kept up the energy of previous tournaments as dozens of influencers, TV personalities and athletes mingled in over an open bar in the PokerGO Studio.

On one of the outer tables, NBA champion Jason Terry busted out with two pair against a flush before buying back in, while a player at the same table later called a river bet with just jack-high to lose to ace-high.
On the other side of the room, magician Pete A. Sciarrino performed a beer bottle trick that left his tablemates speechless, while Invitational II champion Princess Love battled with former MLB star Jose Canseco. Contortionist Sofie Dossie, meanwhile, joined the feature table in her trademark fashion.

Surprise Victory
The final table formed after the double elimination of Bryce Hall and Savanah Chrisley and quickly got down to two before King and Bersten agreed to both move all in blind. They traded doubles before King got the best of it, but it took him a moment to realize he had won the hand.
"I really didn't know," he said.
King said he will be back for future CPT events and that he looks forward to having his winner's photo on the PokerGO Studio wall.
"Honestly, I'm just most happy about coming here, networking with all these celebrities, people that are successful in their fields, and just coming together, doing something I've never done before and just having a good time."
King is best known for his viral videos picking up women and PokerNewsasked if he had any advice for poker players out there in need of dates.
"Be confident. I feel like confidence is the foundation of getting women. Go to the gym, get in shape, and work on your confidence, face your giants."
